This Privacy Policy explains how HandCraftdShop (“I”, “me”, “my”, or “the Shop”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you purchase an item from my Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/HandCraftdShop, contact me, or otherwise interact with my shop through Etsy.com or its related services.

I respect your privacy and handle your personal information responsibly. Where applicable, I process personal information in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Etsy operates its own platform and processes personal information under its own privacy policy. This policy describes my handling of personal information in my capacity as an independent Etsy seller and does not replace Etsy’s privacy policy.

Transaction and accounting information: Order totals, transaction references, refunds, and information necessary for bookkeeping, accounting, and tax reporting. Payment card details are generally handled by Etsy and its payment processors rather than directly by me.

I generally receive customer information through Etsy when you place an order or communicate with my shop. I may also receive information directly from you when you contact me.

Etsy

I receive and share relevant information through Etsy to manage orders, communicate with customers, and operate my shop. Etsy independently processes personal information under its own privacy policy and may use service providers to operate its platform and payment services.

Shipping and delivery providers

I may share your name, delivery address, and necessary order details with Canada Post or another applicable delivery provider so that your order can be shipped and delivered.

Print-on-demand and fulfilment providers

I may share the personal information necessary to produce and fulfil your order with:

Gelato — print-on-demand production and fulfilment.
Printify — print-on-demand production and fulfilment.

The relevant provider receives only the information needed to manufacture, process, or deliver your order, as applicable.

Accounting services

I may share relevant transaction and accounting records with Wave for bookkeeping, accounting, and financial recordkeeping.

Legal requirements and business transfers

I may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests from public authorities, court orders, legal proceedings, or obligations imposed by law. I may also disclose relevant information where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or to protect the rights and safety of others.

If my business is sold, transferred, or reorganized, personal information may be disclosed as part of that transaction where permitted by applicable law and subject to appropriate safeguards.

HandCraftdShop is based in Canada. Etsy and the service providers involved in processing orders may operate in Canada, the United States, the European Economic Area, or other countries.

As a result, your personal information may be transferred to or processed in a country outside the country where you live. The data protection laws of those countries may differ from those in your home country.

Where the GDPR applies and a transfer of personal information outside the European Economic Area requires specific safeguards, I will rely on an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, such as:

My general retention guideline is up to five (5) years for relevant order and business records, where appropriate. This is not an absolute deletion deadline: certain accounting, tax, legal, or dispute-related records may need to be retained for longer where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Information that is no longer needed will be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of where reasonably practicable and legally permitted.

Some information may remain in Etsy’s or other service providers’ systems under their own retention policies, which I do not independently control.

If the GDPR applies to the processing of your personal information, you may have the following rights, subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions:
